Updated to 10.9.2 using this guide (See Stork’s post on page1 made at 2:13pm):Ģ. OpenCL and CUDA now working 100% on my hackintosh / EVGA GTX780 SC (GK110B card) with 10.9.2 released yesterday. I’ve only tested this with my card listed below and I have no idea if it will work with your GK110B card if it is different than mine. Hopefully this will help those with any of the Nvidia GK110B GPUs out there collecting dust.ĭisclaimer: Do not attempt any of the following without a BOOTABLE WORKING CLONE of your OSX drive in case you run into trouble. Ironically 5.5.43 has broken CUDA for some people.īTW this has worked without a single crash since installing so I won’t be trying any newer drivers that surface until I hear of a few success stories out there with a meaningful performance increase.Īs I couldn’t find a straightforward guide for putting all the bits of info out there together I thought I’d share what I did to get a fully working GTX780 under 10.9.2. Happy New Year!ĮDIT MA- I should have mentioned I’m running CUDA 5.5.28, not the newer version. I have to waste my time creating bin after bin and copy and paste folder So in this case it is a single file inside a single folder inside a *(Mind you, this only happens if there's a single file or folder inside aįolder. I live by these folder structures and expect Premiere to mimick my folder What business is it of Premiere to ignore my folder structure? If I drag the "from_Vendors" folder into Premiere, I would expect to getīut instead, I just get the file "Mix1" at the base level of my project. In the finder, I create a folder to hold that mix - here's my structure:įrom_Vendors/from_Mixer/2022_10_17/Mix1.aiff The audio guy sends me a file called Mix1.aiff. So for instance, I have a "from Vendors" folder structure. The same is true if I have a single file inside a single folder inside a So what ends up in my project is just a naked clip. Via drag and drop into a Premiere project, Premiere removes that folder. If I have a folder that only contains one file, and I import that folder (And I'm a professional editor, so I'm coming at this from a professional ![]() If I can add one more thing, that I think is related to the Clips001 Thanks Fergus for the reply, and to Maurice on the Alex 35 notes. More and more professionals are using Premiere Pro (sounds kinda funny to say) but these workflow issues are not up to the task. Can you guess which program had the issue? To prove my point I went to ARRI's website, downloaded ALEXA35 ARRIRAW MXF media and opened in in Resolve 18 (with a screenshot), opened in the new updated Silverstack Labs (with a screenshot) and finally the newest update of Premiere Pro (with a screenshot). Right away I knew that this was an Adobe issue (Not trying to be mean but remember what I said above about professional workflows). They were trying to relink to the originals. About a month later the Post facility sent me a email freaking out saying the Original Camera Negative (ARRIRAW MXF) was corrupt and they couldn't open in Premiere. Resolve 18 was ready to go so I used Resolve for transcoding. I didn't want to use beta software on set. I usually use Pomfort Silverstack Labs but they were still in beta for the new ALEXA35. ![]() I had to generate transcodes (ProRes 422LT) for post. I mainly work as a DIT and two months ago worked on a commerical shot on the ALEXA35 in ARRIRAW which uses a new MXF wrapper. ![]() I apologize for my rant but want to give you persepective. I understand that this is a difficult task to cater to both types of users but if Adobe plans on being the compeditor to Avid (and professional workflows) stupid little things like this need to be dealt with ASAP. The Professional Post House and Editors (though many of these guys use Avid) I'm sure you have more pressing issues but I see this as a major one for professional editors and post houses that use Adobe as their NLE.ġ. I actually had a coffee with someone at Adobe and brought up this issue as an example of Adobe being slow in addressing issues as this is a perfect example. This thread started in November 2019 and I think you may be the first Adobe Employee to comment.
